For this project, I had the opportunity to work on my own brief after it was selected by the class. In a duo, we imagined the art direction and concept of an album project by an artist of our choice.

Through the design of a vinyl record, merchandise and poster, the challenge was to envision a compelling narrative that could integrate well into the artist’s pre-existing identity.

We developed a tracklist for a fictional album by jazz artist Laufey which we titled « Memories of Dusk ». The project evokes self-introspection throughout an adventure pictured at the nighttime by the lake. Reflecting on Laufey’s typically melancholic and romantic themes, the album features 12 tracks that trace the artist’s fictional journey from 7 p.m to 6 a.m.
